YTU Rakhine family was founded by 1st-year, 2nd-year and 3rd-year students in 2014. Any Rakhine students who attend YTU can be members of Rakhine Family. The organization takes an active part in YTU activities and events held by Rakhine Literature & Culture Committee of Universities, Yangon.
Annual participation in Freshers' welcome held by Rakhine Literature & Culture Committee of Universities, Yangon and King Queen Selection sessions at a farewell party of final-year students since 2014.
Performance of Mahar Nwe song at SU 2nd anniversary held by YTUSU, Yoma Yan Si song at 2017 Freshers' welcome, and substantial contribution towards ICSE dinner. Sale of charity Mont-khaw-pyin rice cake feast at 2018 YTU Pre Water Festival and sale of fermented Hlaw-sar glutinous rice at 2019 YTU Pre-Water Festival.
Collaboration with YTUSU for Rakhine flood victims in 2015 and donation of funds to Rakhine Literature and Culture was made. In 2017, MMK 11,010,000 donation money was collected by YTU and given to war refugees from Northern Rakhine State.
Nowadays, there have been a total of 65 alumni and undergraduate students holding membership and taking an active part in activities representative of the university and ethnicity organization.
