Yangon Technological University Student Unions Spearhead Educational and Awareness Initiatives
YANGON - Student unions at Yangon Technological University (YTU) have recently organized a series of impactful activities throughout September 2024, demonstrating their commitment to both education and community awareness.
Under the banner of the "Spring Library (1)," two distinct events were successfully conducted, highlighting the proactive role of YTU's student body.
On September 13, 2024, the student unions hosted a storytelling competition that drew the participation of eleven young individuals. This initiative aimed to cultivate articulate and confident communication skills among children, encouraging them to select and present their favorite narratives from storybooks to an audience.
Furthermore, on September 19, 2024, the unions organized an educational awareness session focused on flood disaster preparedness. This session engaged seventeen participants and was designed to equip children with essential knowledge on how to proactively prevent flood-related risks and effectively respond should such a disaster occur.
These activities, spearheaded by the Yangon Technological University student unions, underscore their dedication to fostering educational development and promoting crucial awareness within the community.
